Open Control Panel
Select Manual Configuration
Server Settings
More Settings Menu
- Click the Security tab.
- Select Anonymous Authentication from drop down menu. NOTE: If Anonymous Authentication is not available you are missing some Windows Office updates. Install any Windows Office/Outlook Updates and try to setup account again.
Exchange Proxy Settings
1: Enter the following: outlook.office365.com
2: Check Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate and enter the following: msstd:outlook.com
3: Check both On Fast Networks.... and On slow networks...
4: Change the Proxy Authentication Settings to Basic Authentication.
Once the 4 steps have been completed, click OK.
Test your newly applied settings
Enter your password
Account Verification
Select your new profile
If you would like Outlook to open the new profile by default whenever Outlook is opened, check the button for Always use this profile and select your new profile from the list and click OK.
If you would like to toggle between the profiles and be prompted every time Outlook is opened for a profile selection, click Prompt for a profile to be used and Outlook will ask which profile you would like to use when opened.
Click Apply and OK when finished.
Congratulations! You have successfully setup Outlook to connect to Office 365.
